Schindewolf Intermediate School
Klein Independent School District, Texas
Schindewolf Intermediate School is the one of the latest school buildings developed by
Klein Independent School District. This school is designed to accommodate 1,200 sixth,
seventh and eighth grade students, providing classrooms, fine arts, cafetorium, library and
gymnasium. The school was designed as a series of individual building sections under
one roof, each section able to function singularly at varied times with required security and
support. Each of the six building sections is bridged by a singular continuous pedestrian
axis and central light tower fitted with stairways, elevator, restrooms, faculty offices, and
various service features. Following district requirements for minimal glazing the interior of
the school receives natural light through clerestory, skylight, and other forms of indirect
natural lighting features.
